Strategic Workforce Planning

From the Conference Board of Canada
The time for talk about “strategic” HR is over. Economic challenges are testing Canada’s HR leaders, and senior executives are striving to cut costs and streamline processes. Now is the time that HR must demonstrate its ability to add strategic value and contribute to the organization’s long-term success.
The Conference Board can help with a new e-Presentation that discusses strategic workforce planning and its affect on your organization’s bottom line. Strategic workforce planning connects and directs talent management activities to ensure an organization has the right people in the right places at the right time and at the right price to execute its business strategy.

Strategic Workforce Planning, April 2009
$350, Recorded Webinar
Recent labour and talent shortages caused many organizations to invest heavily in workforce planning. The challenge now is, how does this expensive workforce strategic planning exercise adapt to an unexpected and dramatic shift in business conditions? How does the previous work stand up to sudden change, and how can you adapt your plans to help your organization plan for and deal with the challenges ahead? Mary Young will tackle these questions in this 45 minute presentation, from her perspective as a U.S. talent management and workforce planning expert.

SPECIAL BONUS OFFER
Order your copy of Strategic Workforce Planning for $350 and receive a free e-copy of the research report Strategic Workforce Planning: Forecasting Human Capital Needs to Execute Business Strategy (a value of $1,550). This 71-page report seeks to answer:
What is Strategic Workforce Planning? What have organizations learned from their experience about its implementation? How should Strategic Workforce Planning be adapted to fit specific organizational contexts? What impact has Strategic Workforce Planning had? What challenges limit its impact?
To order, please call 1-866-711-2262 or email publications@conferenceboard.ca. Please quote campaign code SWP09 when ordering to ensure you receive the bonus report.
